WELCOME TO CAPE TOWN

Welcome to the Mother City!
Please feel free to take plenty of pictures and videos. Share your day using #MDCapeTown or #IngressMissionDay.
Cape Town is one of South Africa’s most historically important cities. It was here, in the Mother City, where the first European colonists set foot in South Africa. Cape Town was home to perhaps the world’s most famous political prisoner, Nelson Mandela, who was held on the tiny Robben Island in Table Bay.

Cape Town is a coming-together of cultures, cuisines and landscapes, a singularly beautiful city crowned by the magnificent Table Mountain National Park. Mission Day in Cape Town will take you on a tour to a few of the landmark historical monuments that make Cape Town the place it is today.

The Turtle Project

Two Oceans Aquarium actively rescues, rehabilitates and releases stranded and distressed sea turtles as part of their broader conservation mission.

Learn how your participation in Mission Day can support this cause.

Mission Day Swag Store

The Cape Town Organsing team has put together a selection of  commemorative swag for what is only the second Mission Day to be held in Africa.

Any proceeds after costs will be donated to the Turtle Project.
